First, I want to say thank you to FR. Fonti for seven years of service to the parish of OLMC and to wish him the best in the future. Second, to Phil Manna for two wonderful, exciting and uplifing years and to wish him good health in the days ahead. Third, but not least, to the lifters who carried the Giglio with respect and pride during the festival. You make the feast the success that it is.

The toys from the vendors, snakes on a stick or monkeys on a stick for the boys and beautiful dolls on a stick for the girls.Going to the Bazaar with a handful of dimes and winning prizes on the spin the wheel games. What a truly wonderful site! I graduated from OLMC in 1971. Born and raised on the northside. Now I am a long islander and get into the feast when I can! So many wonderful, happy memories of the feast, the church, our elementary school. Does anyone else out there remember the bowling alley downstairs, beneath the church? Father Varrielle was our wonderful pastor back then, and we had the sisters of ST.Joseph for our teachers! We crowned the statue of Mary every May. If anyone else went to OLMC t

What a Marvelous site. The pictures bring back so many fond memories of hot summer nights walking throught the feast. Rockys clam bar, Coney Island Joes, The Bazzar, Tuddy Ferrara...Listening to Lindsay Ralph and Bob Murphy and The smell of beer, Kids punching balloons filled with rice,The ferris wheel and The Whip...So many memories. I well remember some of the fine families who meant and will always mean so much to my family and to the Northside. The Delloconos... with Dad Jimmy #1 man 1975..
