I just wanted to say that I look forward to going to the Feast each year with my boyfriend, a good Brooklyn Lad named Mike Molloy. He turned me on to them and it is fun, and amazing with the Dance of the Giglio. It is quite an amazing spectacle, and cultural event. Thanks for the website and good tidings to all, and manja and Salute!!!

I AM 54, MANY YEARS GOOD AND BAD THERE WAS ALWAYS TIME FOR OLMC FEAST. MANY HAPPY NIGHTS WERE SPENT WITH MY WIFE MARIE EATING HOT SAUSAGE AND PEPPER SAN. THE ZEPS WERE ALWAYS GREAT. WE WOULD SIT ON ONE OF THE SIDE STREETS TALKING ABOUT FRIENDS PAST AND PRESENT, WITH FOND MEMORIES OF AS KIDS OUR PARENTS TAKING US TO THE FEAST, PLAYING GAMES AND EATING TILL WE FELL ASLEEP. EVEN THOU THE FEAST GETS SMALLER EVERY YEAR, THE MEMORIES STAY BIG AND VIVID IN OUR MINDS. HAPPY FEAST DAY TO EVERYONE!!!!! AT

My father was a Paranza for as long as he was physicaly able to do so. And have been since I saw how much it meant to him to continue the family tradition. My Uncle´s (the Spampinato´s) were a very big part of this tradition as well. And now all of us ,the sons, and nephews continue this great honor. I want to thank all of you that continue to make this event the

I am writing this with tears in my eyes! So many great memories of growing up in the neighborhood, having Grandma make her own ravioli for all the family on Giglio Sunday, and us kids, her grandchildren, lifting up the miniature (6 foot) Giglio that Grandma had in her living room. You know, you can take the girl out of Brooklyn, but you can NEVER take the Brooklyn out of the girl! Thanks for taking me "home" again.

I grew up in Bklyn lived there 55 yrs. now live in PA to be near my kids and grandkids. One thing I miss is the feast and the old hang out, I go to the feast whenever I can, it is not the same as the ole days but it will stay in my heart forever. Loved when Fr. Francis was in charge, he loved doing the feast as well as Msgr. Dave did. Fr. Fonti is also doing a great job.Hope to see some old faces in 2007 if i make it to Bklyn. Anyone can e mail at anytime God bless to all !!!!!!!!!

This was the best 120 years ever! My son had a great time along w/my friends who had their mouths wide open when they saw the giglio & the boat at ground level.
